The first wind indicator designed by golfers, for golfers
Magnetic Mount
Our Whirly base uses a high strength neodymium magnet to keep the WB-1 securely mounted to the golf cart through the strongest winds and over the roughest cart paths.
Easy to read wind direction
The low-friction pivot is accurately balanced at the center of mass giving a precise wind direction even in the lightest breeze.
Quick Connect.
Another magnet embedded in the pivot of the WB-1 allows you to separate the WB-1 from the base in seconds. For more information, check out our product manual.
Lie + loft
The magnetic base also doubles as a lie + loft indicator for your irons. Simply disconnect the WB-1 and snap the base to your iron to view your launch angle and alignment.
If the arm isn’t pointing toward your target, chances are your ball won’t be either.
Custom Tails
Quick-change tails make it fast and easy to add a personal touch to your Whirly Bird.
Made in Santa Barbara, California
Welcome to the world of Whirly, we wanted to make a simple and effective tool to help golfers around the world improve their game so we invented the Whirly Bird WB-1 wind indicator.
What is the biggest external factor that affects a golf ball's flight?
Wind. It has a considerable effect on the ball’s trajectory, distance, and direction. Wind can cause the ball to veer off course, change its lift and spin, and influence how far it travels.
While elements like temperature, humidity, and altitude also matter, wind remains the most immediate and unpredictable challenge golfers encounter on the course.
The Whirly Bird was invented to help golfers of all skill levels hit better shots by making it easy to read the wind direction and identify any sudden changes.
