Playing for a Cure: Whirly Bird Supports NJ Cure HD at Topgolf Edison
Some causes hit close to home. This one hits closer than most.
This week we shipped a box of our brand-new Whirly Bird Version 2 prototypes across the country to support the NJ Cure HD charity outing at Topgolf in Edison, New Jersey on Saturday, August 2nd at 6:00 PM. It's an evening of golf, food, and community — all to raise money in the fight against Huntington's disease.
Why This One Matters to Us
We have a family member living with Huntington's disease, so this fight isn't abstract for us. HD is a hereditary neurodegenerative disorder that gradually affects movement, thinking, and mood, and there is currently no cure. It's the kind of diagnosis that reshapes a whole family's life, and it's carried by generations who watch, wait, and hope for a breakthrough.
That's why the work NJ Cure HD does means so much. As a statewide, volunteer-driven organization, they connect families to resources, fund research toward treatments and a cure, and stand alongside everyone affected by HD. Every dollar raised at events like this one moves the science a little further forward — and for the HD community, progress isn't just welcome. It's everything.
The Whirly Bird Goes to Top Golf
Sending our Version 2 prototypes to a golf event felt like the most natural thing in the world. The Whirly Bird Golf Wind Indicator was built for exactly this kind of setting — golfers reading the wind, dialing in a shot, and enjoying the game. Getting these into the hands of players supporting a great cause is a small way for us to say we're in this fight too.
